The polypore fungus beetles (Tetra­tomidae) are a very small family containing approx 30 species worldwide. Their major area of distribution is the Palearctic and the Nearctic. In Germany three species are known to occur. The beetles are found on bracket fungi and on branches which are overgrown with fungi.
