On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Schäfer, das ist entweder Geotrupes spiniger oder Geotrupes stercorarius. Die Unterscheidung gelingt anhand der Punktierung und Behaarung der STernite. Zwar hast du löblicherweise ein Unterseitenfoto mitgeschickt, aber die Mitte der Sternite verschwimmt leider im Dunkeln, sodass ich mich hier leider nicht festlegen kann. Geotrupes spiniger ist die häufigere der beiden Arten, aber das allein ist nicht bestimmungsrelevant. Viele Grüße, Daniel
