On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Den hab ich mir als Eutrichapion viciae notiert. Länge ganz knapp unter 2mm, gefunden am Rand eines Ackers mit viel Kraut, Kalkmagerrasengebiet, am 17.05.2020, die genaue Futterpflanze ist leider unbekannt.

Comment: Hallo Farina, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Cryptocephalus. C. sericeus ist möglich, aber auch der sehr ähnliche C. aureolus. Die Unterscheidungsmerkmale zwischen den beiden Arten, die wir früher angewendet haben (z.B. die Form des Halsschildseitenrands) gelten leider mittlerweile als unzuverlässig, sorry.
