On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Ovalisia Scintillatrix rutilans. Berlin - Zehlendorf, an Ulme, 21.07.2021. Ca. 12-14 mm. Aus dem Baum sind mehrere geschlüpft, der Kontakt mit dem Pilz Schizophyllum commune scheint ungesund zu sein, mehrere Käfer sind stecken geblieben.

Comment: Hallo OZ, S. rutilans entwickelt sich an Linde, das vorliegende Tier halte ich aufgrund des Schlupfs aus Ulme für die noch seltenere Scintillatrix mirifica. Holomediterran und holopontisch. Aktuelle Meldungen aus BR und HS, ansonsten wird's in Deutschland schon recht dünn. Danke für die Meldung. LG, Christoph
