On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Pillepalle, der gehört zu den Wasserkäfern, auch wenn du ihn außerhalb des Wassers gefunden hast. Es gibt halobionte Cercyon-Arten, die man nur im Küstenbereich findet, dieser zählt dazu. Ich halte das Tier für Cercyon littoralis. Eine kleine Restunsicherheit besteht hinsichtlich der Abgrenzung zum ähnlichen C. depressus. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Daniel
